The Momentum to Manifest

Significant experiences in our lives prompt us to reach outside ourselves for strength and comfort. Sometimes, despite our best efforts to maintain a positive outlook, to focus on what we would like to have come about instead of on the worst outcome. Our prayers might seem unanswered, unless empowered by momentum.

A critical day in my life was when my mother decided it was time to remove the training wheels from my white Schwinn. She was surprisingly agile with the tools she carried out to the driveway. Despite my protests, she had me teetering on my bicycle at the top of our hill on top of a hill, with her arthritic hand holding the back of my seat covered in pink roses. She ran alongside me a few feet, and the momentum of my free falling down the hills held the power for me to keep my balance.

On first attempt, my feeble mother let go and I glided into the cove independently. When my father got home from work, I showed him how well I could circle the manhole cover in the center of the cove. He suggested I go around the edge of the cove where it was easier to keep my momentum constant without having to cut the wheel. I gained speed until a stick got caught in the spokes. I hit the curb and the handlebar left a colorful bruise at my third eye.

They key in my achievement was the momentum. Despite my reluctance to reach the goal of riding without training wheels, the momentum ensured I would succeed. Only when the acceleration or forward movement was blocked did I crash. Once I learned to ride a bike, I was able to explore distant pastures and abandoned cottages. It broadened my awareness of what was around me.

This building up of energy is how we elevate our skills and how we create change in our lives. You have the ability to change your situation by applying a greater amount of energy toward the outcome you prefer to have materialize.

Attracting a desirable experience begins with your words. The words first appear inside your head. A repeated thought digs a rivulet in your subconscious, which paves how you respond. A critical aspect of taking control of your destiny is to discipline your thoughts. Notice what the narrative in your mind is sharing with you. When you allow the words inside your head to influence your perceptions. Until you notice where your inner dialogue originates, you have the potential of being manipulated as if your thoughts were someone else.

The narrative in our minds doesn’t always say what we think, or even what is best for us to hear. Our minds tend to repeat what has been spoken nearby regardless of whether it is in our best interest. The thoughts could have originated from a violent movie, from an overheard conversation between strangers, or from others who don’t understand everything about our circumstances. When left unchecked, the lectures we give ourselves can merely repeat the ideas from those whose opinions we don’t trust.

A proven method for creating momentum is through prayer. Receiving an answer to a prayer relies heavily on the level of intensity. The more concentration and focus you put on any task, the more precise you are.

There are many tasks each of us performs on a regular basis. When you multitask, you are more likely to make mistakes. The outcome of your efforts is less likely to be the way you visualized.

Each of our thoughts forms a barrier around our physical bodies. You program the space around you and those programs bring about your experiences. Despite the intensity of your wishes, it is possible for your prayers and efforts to bring about your preferred life circumstance seems to fall on deaf ears.

A blessing of living in this time is in our ability to achieve what we want quickly. Prosperity exists in many forms and, where it doesn’t exist, we have the resources due to man’s creativity and intelligence to thrive with what we have. When we have a block in our thoughts or we hold back on applying our devoted attention to manifesting our desires, we tend to blame the higher sources, or perhaps kick ourselves for being unworthy.

Never devalue yourself and your likelihood to achieve your best interests. As a descendant of the Supreme Being, you have a value. Each of us was born on Earth as a result of our placing a value on being here. There was a time where you managed to concentrate your efforts into bringing about your existence in this life. Know that this is a very special time for living, and the fact you are here, sharing with the rest of us, is your badge of recognition. With the infinite possibilities of what you can accomplish during your life, you get to choose enjoying the good, or romanticizing the bad. Keep in mind that many of us get a boost in spirit from a bout of bad luck. You might relish those moments you can indulge in pampering yourself until the veil of self pity lifts.

Meanwhile, once you are ready to release the depth of your emotions, you have the natural talent to put deliberate concentration into manifesting the most desirable outcome you can visualize. The images take shape in the space around you and remain connected to your vision until developing enough momentum to draw into your path identical outcomes. This is where your thoughts attract certain situations and people into your life. When you are unaware of the power you have but you are perceptive enough to see similarities between conversations you have and experiences that follow, you might refer to the synchronicities as coincidences.

The coincidence is in opening your heart to realize the link between what is on your mind, and what appears in your path. This awareness of how connected you are to the events that come about is a monumental step in developing the ability to take control of your life.

Your job is to identify the source of where the thoughts behind the words you speak began. Notice how often you are repeating what someone else’s opinion, and evaluate whether it fits with your authentic feelings. Resist the habit of hearing unreliable voices in your head. Select the advice you give to yourself. Once you have a sense of safety, you should replay those thoughts. The power behind your words builds each time you apply concentration to the meanings, and it builds the momentum for you to create change.

Archangel for Each Wednesday

image of angel in green robe

Wednesdays are the special day for chatting with a chummy friend.

Shining Archangel Raphael loves fun and travel to any distant land.

He responds to wounded humans, healing illness and disease.

In the image of a serpent, he removes pain with simple ease.

The golden Archangel Raphael is named God has healed,

He presenting a text to Noah related to the medical field.

His visit to Abraham bestowed great virtues to his name,

Guiding those repented up from the underworld gave him fame.

Archangel Raphael sends God’s blessings when heartfelt I pray.

His presence in conversations changes sorrow into a joyful day.

He shares knowledge of the sciences and aids pilgrims heading west,

As he watches over my doings, I know my safety is at its best.

Archangel for Each Tuesday

On the afternoons of Tuesdays, he who sees as God is on my mind,

As God’s favorite, Archangel Camael gives tolerance ‘cause’s he’s kind.

When my thoughts begin to wander and my heart desires more,

Through him I find justice to right wrongs and to divert any pending war.

I reach out to Archangel Camael for added love in my relations,

Whether it is my friends, family, or even enemies needing my celebrations.

Forgiveness arrives as he sends understanding as the root of my life,

My career conflicts dissolve when I release to him my every strife.

He appears like a cautious leopard, crouched on barren rocks,

Wrestling all the sins of darkness by pulling Jacob’s locks.

He meticulously aligns the planets and in perfect timing he provides,

Solutions to my frustrations when I’m willing to accept a compromise.

Archangel Camael granted Jesus courage on His crucifixion eve,

His persistence and strength ease troubled thoughts that I sometimes conceive.

Sweet tingles signify his presence when he gently begins to glide,

I feel butterflies in my stomach, announcing he’s at my side.

Archangel for Each Monday

image of angel with banner

Messages are sent on Mondays through the hum of a trumpet sound,

Delivered by Archangel Gabriel instilling skill that does astound.

As I affirm, God is my strength, her mercy dilutes my fright,

Her voice in creative arts inspires hope and brings insight.

Archangel Gabriel holds a flame, governing Eden’s hidden gate.

She dictated the Koran and announced the importance of Jesus’ fate,

Overseeing family adoptions and providing prophecies to believers like me.

She witnessed the resurrection and upon last judgment she’ll pull me free.

Archangel Gabriel wears rich garments and reads from a blessed scroll,

She appears in a blue halo with full intentions to advance my soul.

Her touch upon escorting me from Heaven down to this world,

Marks my upper lip, where I relay her messages through tongue uncurled.

Archangel for Each Sunday

image of prayer card of Saint Michael

In the early rays of Sunday, when the moon is out of sight,

I listen for the swishing sword of mighty warrior’s delight.

Archangel Michael battles beasts, and dragons with dark fangs,

Never misses the mark upon which the steady blade he aims.

If light alludes my life purpose, and I wander, lost in fear,

I call on his brave endurance because he will always hear.

His army instills self esteem, and courage through the belief,

Gives direction with protection as highest angelic chief.

Michael and his mighty army, defeat obstacles away.

He who is as God honors faith for a better loving day.

Emerald wings and a smile that gleams, he handsomely arrives,

To destroy all foes and end woes, plus dry up teary eyes.

When I need pardon from choices, which prove me to be flawed,

My righteousness is defended by he who is as God.

I call on Archangel Michael for courage to set free,

From last judgment when repentance, release the abyss key.

Wondrous Words of Water

Water is our salvation. Consider all the times you’ve taken time out from your hectic life with a soothing bath. Inner peace comes easily when you hear or view a body of water. Many of us plan vacations for rejuvenating our minds, bodies and souls with destinations and activities revolving around the wondrous H2O.

“Being out there in the ocean, God’s creation, it’s like a gift He has given us to enjoy,” states professional surfer and author, Bethany Hamilton who survived a life threatening shark attack. Author, Carl Hiaasen, describes his escape for inspiration as “to just get in a boat and disappear on the water.”

Water provides life within us, through what we consume, and by surrounding us in the atmosphere. Civilizations thrive where they show respect with it. We are all impacted by how man relates to it. Scientists advocate our infinite need to protect all resources. “With every drop of water you drink, every breath you take, you’re connected to the sea. No matter where on Earth you live. Most of the oxygen in the atmosphere is generated by the sea,” explains National Geographic’s marine biologist, Sylvia Earle.

As Leonardo Da Vinci provides, “Water is the driving force of all nature.” We are advised to consume as much as eight glasses each day to maintain a healthy body and proper brain functioning, yet with the endless concerns about pollution, overpopulation and lack of drinkable resources, we tend to lapse into anticipating a cataclysmic apocalypse.

Many of us concede man must have clean H2O in order to survive, but the more research is conducted, the more confusing it is to decipher which choices we should make. Instead of fretting over the likelihood plastic bottles can poison us, or the chemical runoff from crops is decreasing our drinkable supply, we can be innovative in creating a solution.

It must be more than a coincidence that several religions view water as a means for cleansing  not just the body but also the soul. Submersion is considered a method for attaining purification. Washing with an intention for attaining a higher consciousness prepares practitioners to receive the teachings of the benevolent Creator. Even a few drops of blessed water have the power to uplift one’s spiritual connection. All faiths include a ritual or prayerful state of mind when utilizing water in a religious ceremony or church service. “If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water,” writes the philosopher, Loren Eiseley.

Water is impressionable. It responds to our thoughts. “All water has a perfect memory and is forever trying to get back to where it was,” provides author, Toni Morrison.

Masaru Emoto, author and entrepreneur, devised a method for recording an impression of the memory of water by photographing frozen samples. Emotional images and words introduced to H2O while in its liquid form create patterns in its molecules believed to be a reflection of those moods.

Samples gathered from polluted reservoirs and tap water reveal murky, undefined shapes. Emoto believed human thoughts and images of nature play a role in the quality of water. He arranged several times for groups of five hundred participants to meditate on either an intention to purify the quality, or else on positive chants of love directed at the sources. Photographs of samples taken from the same locations as where the molecules formed murky, undefined shapes were transformed into symmetrical, intricate geometric patterns similar to snow crystals.

It made no difference if the five hundred people prayed, meditated or sang songs, as long as the words and thoughts were positive affirmations. His results were consistent regardless of who provided the loving intentions, who ranged from spiritual practitioners to elementary school children. Also, the distance between the participants and the source of water was irrelevant. Those meditating, chanting and praying were at times thousands of miles away from a body of water they set out to purify. The crystalline formations were equally improved to when the meditations, chants and prayers took place within the same building as the previously contaminated tap water.

Likewise, when the water was exposed to negative words and painful images, the molecules mirrored the chaotic and muddy emotions. In one instance, he recorded seeing microscopic formations from samples removed from a lake that resembled a facial expression depicting horror and pain. After his research concluded, he discovered human tragedies occurred within the body of water.

Emoto concluded that human consciousness and impressions of nature alter the molecular structure of water. He believed, “water could react to positive thoughts and words, and that polluted water could be cleaned through prayer and positive visualization.”

Next time, before taking a sip of a refreshing drink, send a positive affirmation to the item you plan to ingest. Use your consumption as an opportunity to purify what you place in your body. Take a moment to visualize what you would like to improve in your life.

When cleansing and washing any part of your body, put aside your worries and problems to avoid adding a murky element. Focus on intensifying the purifying effects. Practice expressing confidence in your water systems, just as actor and screenwriter, John C. Reilly, found, “There’s something about the water, that solitary kind of peaceful feeling. You’re on Earth but not quite.”

Become consciously aware of the power of your words, both spoken and in thought. Take time to appreciate the wondrous words imprinted in the molecules of water.

Pray for Us

Regardless of where you stand on today’s issues, there are times when a political leader gives a statement or supports an order that contradicts your views. The political structure allows opposing parties to create opportunities for themselves by escalating the public’s differing opinions. This gives them leverage to suppress the civilians’ sense of power.

Without belief in our abilities, we become divided. Without unity, a nation lacks strength.

Each of us can make a difference in the government. According to the philosopher and founder of Taoism, Lao Tzu, “A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say, ‘We did it ourselves.’” It is through the people actively participating that leaders are able to serve.

Our duty as civilians is to offer support and prayers for authority figures of every level and position. “Those who say religion has nothing to do with politics do not know what religion is,” stated Mahatma Gandhi. Prayer is action.

Within the Holy Bible, 1 Timothy 2:1-3 provides for man to give supplications, which embrace humility on behalf of another. We are to seek intercessions through angels and saints to exalt our pleas for governmental leaders to receive guidance. Saint Thomas More is the patron of lawyers, civil servants, and politicians.

Most importantly, we are to express gratitude for the benefits within our nation. Through prayers and thanks, the entire country acquires peace, goodness and honest dealings within its boundaries as well as with other countries. 1 Timothy clarifies that only God has authority over men, therefore it is proper to pray for political leaders to act with godliness and honesty. Leaders who make choices on behalf of the Divine promote the salvation of all mankind and support all men in their quest for knowledge of the Truth.

Faith grants strength. Trust in a Divine plan for placing those who are in office elevates our spiritual power. Our support influences their actions and grants them insights of Holiness.

Archbishop John Carroll, founder of Georgetown University, suggests first praying for God to have mercy on all nations, regardless of their views or actions, and then for the leaders to gain “heavenly knowledge, sincere zeal, and sanctity of life.” He includes all civil servants who are appointed and elected to have powerful protection in performing their duties “with honesty and ability.”

We pray Thee O God of might, wisdom, and justice! Through whom authority is rightly administered, laws are enacted, and judgment decreed, assist with Thy Holy Spirit of counsel and fortitude the President of these United States, that his administration may be conducted in righteousness, and be eminently useful to Thy people over whom he presides; by encouraging due respect for virtue and religion; by a faithful execution of the laws in justice and mercy; and by restraining vice and immorality. Let the light of Thy divine wisdom direct the deliberations of Congress, and shine forth in all the proceedings and laws framed for our rule and government, so that they may tend to the preservation of peace, the promotion of national happiness, the increase of industry, sobriety, and useful knowledge; and may perpetuate to us the blessing of equal liberty.

 Archbishop John Carroll

The English Prayer Book issues thanksgiving and blessings for the leaders of the United Kingdom by humbly acknowledging God’s mighty authority over man, praying for spiritual enlightenment of leaders, and then asking for eternal grace. Blessings are requested in saying, “look favourably on our sovereign lady, Queen Elizabeth. Fill her with your Holy Spirit so that she may love your law and walk in your way. Give her health and strength; and grant that after this life she may enjoy everlasting happiness in your eternal kingdom.”

Rule the heart of your servant Elizabeth, our Queen, so that she, knowing whose minister she is, may above all things seek your honour and glory. And grant that we and all her subjects may faithfully serve, honour and obey her according to your word and ordinance.

Book of Common Prayer

Even a moment of silence dedicated to the President, Congressmen, Senators and Governors having spiritual counsel boosts their capacity for benevolent judgment. As Mahatma Gandhi explained, “It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.”

Prayers and support for government is a longstanding tradition. Unrest within nations tends to arise during periods of social transformation. It is unnecessary to evaluate and determine what decisions our political leaders need to make for us to enjoy safe, prosperous lives. Merely offering your request for them to be surrounded by Holy advisors and to open their hearts to Divine Love creates miracles. “Our prayers should be for blessings in general, for God knows best what is good for us,” stated Socrates.
